Any man cab be a father, but it takes someone special to be a Papa.
Hmm.. this is quite a sensitive topic for me to write. Especially it relates to my beloved Pa.. who just left us 2 years ago. It’s the year I have to face all kind of heavy storms from all corners, and also the year I promised to bring him to live in Singapore to celebrate Xmas and new year with me.
They say time’s a healer.. but i am not so sure for every time I think of my Pa.. I miss him even more. The pain and heartache linger on until this second, and they make me feel so blue, so blue… Even when I wear a smile I’m longing, Pa, for you. Nevertheless, you’ll always stay loved and remembered in our heart forever and a day.
BUT – I had have a wonderful and memorable trip with Pa in Canberra together with Jack (not the Titanic Jack, but my younger brother, Jack Tan). Pa has left us so much funny, crazy, embarrassed experiences and memories moments during that trip. Especially for Jack – he almost gave up on Pa as he has to push Pa in wheelchair to anywhere we go. Airport and in the planes were the two headache places Pa has `honored’ both of us to manage him.
Regardless what, Pa, how I wish I could go through all that craziest moments with you once again.. I am more than willing to do so just to enjoy your smiles.
“My father gave me the greatest gift anyone could give another person, he believed in me."
Thank you, Pa.. you did not tell me how to live; you lived, and you let me watch you do it.
